Lead Data Analyst

Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI is searching for a talented Data Storyteller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of analytical expertise, technical proficiency in Power BI, and creative storytelling skills. You will be responsible for mining data, developing insightful visualizations, and crafting compelling narratives that drive strategic decisions. Additionally, you will support program managers in the Quality Centre of Excellence, assist in training initiatives, and conduct process audits as needed.

You must thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, capable of navigating ambiguity while balancing multiple priorities. This role requires both high-level strategic thinking and hands-on execution, ensuring data-driven decisions are actionable and impactful.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Transform complex datasets into compelling visual stories using Power BI and other visualization tools.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key insights to diverse audiences.
• Conduct in-depth data mining and analysis to uncover trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with data analysts, researchers, and stakeholders to interpret and contextualize data.
• Leverage data visualization best practices to create visually appealing and intuitive reports.
• Present data-driven insights to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, engaging, and persuasive manner.
• Support program managers in the Quality Centre of Excellence by providing data-backed recommendations.
• Continuously refine and enhance storytelling techniques based on feedback and evolving business needs.
• Develop and execute Quality Training programs to enhance data literacy and decision-making capabilities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 10+ yr experience; Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ yr experience; Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Communications, or an equivalent discipline.
• Proven experience in Consulting & Training related to data storytelling and visualization.
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI
• Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices, dashboard design, and interactivity principles.
• Experience in data mining, analysis, and storytelling, translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Ability to simplify and communicate data-driven narratives for various audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Passion for data-driven storytelling, innovation, and continuous learning.
