Model Services, a global team of software engineers is searching for a highly motivated, hardworking, and eager to succeed individual. This position is for a Senior Associate to be based at the MSCI office in Monterrey, NL. Mexico.
Model Services team is responsible for the development and support of the Model Engine Analytics, a python based platform that enables
fast research-to-market and high-quality Factor Analytics content delivery. Model Engine platform is responsible for producing MSCI's Factor Models among many other valuable factor analytics products.
The Software Engineer would work along with the Model Services and Production Services teams to design, implement, support and document innovative solutions that contribute to the Factor Analytics content platform. The Engineer needs to be strong in quantitative skills, as well as strong Python development skills, be self-organized and feel comfortable adjusting seamlessly to multiple demands and shifting priorities in an agile, fast-paced, demanding global environment.
Model Engine Platform is a complex set of components that powers MSCI Research and Development of Factor Analyitcs content. It contains a rich python analyitcs library acompained by a modern ecosystem of tools distributed over an hybrid environment. Model Services team key responsibility is to develop and operate the Model Engine Aanalyitcs ensuring fast and high quality product deliveries for our clients. Every development should be considering security, performance, scalability, efficiency and user experience.
Besides, Model Services Engineers are expected to drive innovation into the Model Engine Tools mainly by Machine Learning and Advanced Data Science techniques. The Model Engine tools and processes should be well documented, and fully transparent, accompanied by a set of metrics that support the effectiveness and accuracy of the solutions. Finally, the engineer will assume responsibilities along the full research cycle from envisioning to implementation, evaluation, documentation and support.
