Security Engineer

Your Team Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity within the global IT Risk group in MSCI to play a key role in planning, designing and implementing a wide range of security related controls and solutions. The primary components of this job entail working with inside the core engineering team on key and strategic projects, while providing an escalation point for IT Risk Security Operations team during incidents. This is a highly technical role within MSCI, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with different businesses and other departments across the Firm. Cloud Security Engineer's responsibilities will be the design and engineering of security controls for technology systems with a focus on cloud and associated domains. Engineer will work across architecture, governance, business and technology groups to advise and build security solutions for projects and fulfill operational needs

Your Key Responsibilities

· Identifying security risks and proposing enterprise grade solutions for them · Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid architecture that will meet business requirements and capabilities · Will serve as a point of contact around matters related to cloud security, including Infrastructure, Platform, and various Software as a Service IaaS/PaaS/SaaS · Maintaining professional documentation (design documents, implementation and troubleshooting guides, handover documents)

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

· Advanced hands-on experience and knowledge of various operating systems, security controls and solutions, cloud and hybrid-based systems/applications · Google Cloud Certified Engineer or other cloud service certification is an advance (Azure) · Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification is an advance · Business-oriented view of Information Security and risk · A high level of risk-intelligence and risk awareness with a balanced approach when assessing risk. · Pragmatic, highly organized attitude, exceptional time management skills, DevOps orientation. · At least 4 years (or preferably more) · Experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms · Experience in Cybersecurity or related field or relevant experience in an IT Security or Information Security role
