Explore our offices: Budapest

MSCI’s Budapest office, our third largest location, opened its doors in 2007 and has since grown to house over 500 employees, with all major teams being represented here. Located near Lehel square, close the river Danube, the office is easily accessible via public transportation, with a short 15-minute walk or two metro stops on line M3. The office is located in Green House, the first LEED Platinum certified building in Hungary.

About the Budapest office

Our Budapest office is a hub of diverse teams and functions. About half of the local employees are part of our Technology and Data teams, with notable local presence from Software Development, Analytical/Functional Testing and Operation, Project Management, Information Security, and Infrastructure Engineering. Almost all of our non-technology functions are represented in Budapest as well, including Research, Financial Engineering, Corporate Finance, HR and client-facing teams such as Sales Support and Operations, Solution Management and Marketing. The Budapest Climate Risk Center, established in 2022, hosts a number of colleagues working on climate change scenario analysis.

The office space is designed to accommodate all working styles and all abilities. Whether you’re looking for a space to concentrate on your tasks undisturbed, a room to have a client call in, or a space to gather for a brainstorm session with your team, you’ll find the right working environment. Some of the special areas in the office include our relax rooms to help you recharge your batteries, an area dedicated to our Women’s Leadership Forum and Women in Tech Employee Resource Groups, and an open space collaboration area. To help our employees stay active during the day, several treadmill desks are located throughout our office as well as a shower for colleagues who jog or exercise before work. Every Wednesday, fresh fruit is delivered from the nearby Lehel market, and organic cereals and granola are always available in the Cereal Corner to keep everyone energized throughout the day.

The office community

But the Budapest office is not just about the office space; it's about the vibrant community and passionate people working here. Our various committees and organize weekly events to help our colleagues expand their network, learn new skills and grow professionally. Some of these gatherings – like the Data Fest and Tech Hub workshops – are grassroots initiatives, bringing together people with similar interests and goals. Participants of these events share details about the projects their working on, fostering new connections and conversations around technical topics. Some of the other events, including the regular Random Coffees, Quiz Nights and the Summer BBQ, bring together the entire office community for big informal gatherings.

Most of MSCI’s Employee Resource Groups are represented in Budapest: the Women’s Leadership Forum, Women in Tech, PRIDE and Allies and the Climate Action Network all have local chapters here, creating supportive communities, helping our employees bring their authentic selves to work. And if you’re looking for people you can share your off-work hours with, you can join various freetime groups as well: whether your passion is running, cycling, hiking, playing board games or discussing books, you’ll find likeminded people.

"At MSCI Budapest, we thrive on a dynamic mix of professional and social events, from skill-building trainings to fireside chats with industry leaders and our annual Summer BBQ party. Our vibrant office life includes various Employee Resource Groups, book and boardgame clubs, sport activities and motivational speakers, fostering a community where every employee can grow and succeed."
