By applying rigorous quality assurance procedures and leveraging multiple data sources, the team ensures the integrity of complex event types, including mergers, stock splits, rights issues, and dividends. The MFCE Team also manages the review and validation of IPO and offering events, contributing to the overall transparency and reliability of MSCI’s data offerings. Through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors, the team plays a key role in enhancing operational efficiency and sustaining robust data governance across global markets.

We are looking for intellectually curious and driven individuals who are eager to learn, thrive in fast-paced environments, and take ownership of their work. As an Associate on the Market Factual Corporate Events (MFCE) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of global corporate actions data. You’ll be exposed to a wide array of event types, data platforms, and financial markets, while collaborating closely with stakeholders across technology, product, and operations. • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of corporate events data to internal and external stakeholders, and resolve high priority client queries requiring expert data validation.
  • Collaborate with IT, Business, and Project teams to gather requirements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes related to corporate event data, contributing to increased efficiency and scalability.
  • Drive continuous improvements in data accuracy, completeness, and process quality, in alignment with MSCI’s data governance standards.
  • Proactively adopt and apply GenAI tools and practices, as mandated at MSCI, to enhance the quality, productivity, and innovation within the data collection workflow.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data operations, financial services, or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong interest and foundational knowledge in finance, capital markets, and corporate actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical and business concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python; familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key trends or anomalies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a global team environment and collaborate across cultures.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives with a strong sense of ownership.
