Your Team Responsibilities

The MSCI Real Assets Sales team is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding client adoption of MSCI’s Real Assets solutions. The team works with institutional investors, investment managers, asset owners and other real estate market participants to understand their investment and data needs and deliver solutions across MSCI’s Real Assets capabilities. This role will work closely with Sales, Product, Research and Client Coverage teams to develop new business, grow existing relationships and increase MSCI’s penetration across the Real Assets market.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business and revenue growth across MSCI Real Assets solutions, with a strong focus on new-logo acquisition and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Build, develop and maintain a high-quality sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and targeted client engagement.
  • Identify client needs and position MSCI Real Assets data, analytics and solutions against relevant investment and business workflows.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial engagement and solution positioning through negotiation and close.
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers across institutional investors, investment managers, asset owners and other Real Assets market participants.
  • Partner closely with Product, Research, Client Coverage and other internal teams to deliver a coordinated client experience.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity and client activity information in Salesforce and provide reliable forecasting.
  • Develop strong knowledge of the Real Assets competitive landscape and use market intelligence to identify whitespace and commercial opportunities.
  • Represent MSCI at client meetings, industry events and conferences as required.
  • Consistently deliver against individual revenue, pipeline and activity targets.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or a client-facing commercial role, ideally within financial services, data, analytics or Real Assets.
  • Strong new-business mindset with demonstrated ability to prospect, build pipeline and develop new client relationships.
  • Understanding of the institutional investment landscape; knowledge of commercial real estate and private markets is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to understand client challenges and translate them into relevant MSCI solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging senior decision-makers.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and negotiate effectively through to close.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable operating in a target-driven environment with a high degree of accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills and disciplined approach to pipeline management, forecasting and Salesforce.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across Sales, Product, Research and Client Coverage teams.
  • Curiosity and willingness to develop deep expertise across MSCI Real Assets products, clients and market trends.
