We are looking for anAnalytics Banking Sales Specialist to join our team, with a core focus on driving growth through deep engagement with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory-driven organizations.
The ideal candidate combines strong banking domain expertise—spanning balance sheet management, risk, performance, and capital optimization— with technical fluency, a solution-oriented mindset, bridging complex banking workflows with MSCI’s analytics and data solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, and client strategy, enabling banks to strengthen their risk and capital frameworks, optimize profitability, and meet regulatory and sustainability objectives through MSCI’s integrated analytics, risk, and ESG capabilities.
This position is open to candidates based in Hong Kong or Singapore.
Presales Leadership
Lead and manage the presales process across multiple banking engagements, from discovery and qualification to solution design, demonstration, and handoff to implementation.
Partner with sales, client coverage, and product teams to align MSCI’s capabilities with client strategic priorities.
Demonstrate experience in solution design and architecture, ensuring proposed approaches are both technically robust and commercially viable.
Solutioning & Demonstrations
Deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations that showcase MSCI’s Banking Analytics, Risk Management, Climate, and ESG integration capabilities.
Build and maintain robust demo environments reflecting key banking workflows, including ALM, capital planning, stress testing, and portfolio optimization.
Banking Domain Expertise
Act as the domain lead for Banking clients—including Commercial, Corporate, and Treasury functions—translating regulatory, balance sheet, and credit risk challenges into actionable MSCI solutions.
Support discussions around regulatory compliance (e.g., Basel IV, FRTB, IFRS 9), ESG integration, and digital transformation within bank risk frameworks.
Familiarity with key banking instrument types is essential, including cross-currency and single-currency basis swaps, swaptions, and interest rate caps and floors, with an understanding of how these instruments impact risk, valuation, and liquidity management.
Complex Deal Structuring
Support the end-to-end deal lifecycle by coordinating across internal stakeholders (sales, product, legal, implementation) to shape proposals that meet technical, commercial, and regulatory needs.
Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives, ensuring strong alignment with client requirements and business impact objectives.
Client Workflow Consulting
Advise clients on how MSCI solutions can improve efficiency across front-office, risk, and finance workflows—enabling better capital deployment, risk-adjusted return, and sustainability integration.
Translate client challenges into use cases and feedback for product roadmap development.
Client Enablement & Advocacy
Develop targeted materials—pitch decks, demo narratives, and solution blueprints—that articulate the value of MSCI analytics within a bank’s ecosystem.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across risk, treasury, and strategy functions.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with product and research teams to channel client insights into roadmap discussions and influence the evolution of MSCI’s Banking offerings.
Support cross-functional collaboration across MSCI’s ESG, Climate, and Index product lines for integrated banking solutions.
Experience: 9+ years in presales, solution consulting, or client-facing roles in Banking, FinTech, or Financial Risk Management.
Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of balance sheet management, capital and liquidity optimization, credit and market risk, and regulatory frameworks (Basel III/IV, ICAAP, IFRS 9, FRTB).
Stakeholder Engagement: Proven success engaging with CRO, Treasury, and Risk Strategy functions.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with financial analytics platforms (e.g., RiskMetrics, Barra, Moody’s Analytics, QRM, Murex, Calypso) and data integration/API workflows.
Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree (engineering, mathematics or finance); MBA or master’s degree preferred. CFA or FRM strongly desirable.
Additional Skills: Python preferred for data analysis, automation, and PoC development.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and storytelling abilities; strong analytical, consulting, and project leadership capabilities.
