Your Team Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly analytical and market-focused Fixed Income Investment Strategist & Researcher to support investment decision-making through macroeconomic analysis, fixed income market research, portfolio strategy development, and quantitative insights. This role bridges investment research and portfolio strategy by identifying market opportunities, evaluating risks, and developing actionable investment recommendations across global fixed income markets.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of interest rate markets, credit analysis, macroeconomics, and fixed income portfolio construction, along with the ability to communicate complex investment ideas to portfolio managers, clients, and senior leadership.

Your Key Responsibilities

Investment Strategy
  • Develop and communicate fixed income investment strategies across government bonds, corporate credit, securitized products, municipals, and emerging market debt.
  • Monitor global macroeconomic trends, central bank policy, inflation, labor markets, and geopolitical developments to assess their impact on fixed income markets.
  • Generate tactical and strategic investment recommendations based on market valuations, economic outlooks, and relative value opportunities.
  • Support portfolio positioning with duration, yield curve, sector allocation, and credit allocation recommendations.
Research & Market Analysis
  • Conduct in-depth research on interest rates, credit markets, yield curves, inflation expectations, and liquidity conditions.
  • Analyze fixed income sectors using fundamental, quantitative, and macroeconomic research methods.
  • Develop proprietary research reports, market commentaries, and investment outlook publications.
  • Evaluate historical market performance and identify emerging investment themes.
Quantitative Analysis
  • Build and maintain financial models for scenario analysis, stress testing, and risk assessment.
  • Analyze portfolio exposures, duration, convexity, spread risk, and factor sensitivities.
  • Utilize statistical and quantitative techniques to evaluate market trends and investment opportunities.
  • Support performance attribution and risk analytics.
Portfolio Support
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to implement investment views and evaluate portfolio positioning.
  • Assist in portfolio construction and optimization using risk-return analysis.
  • Monitor portfolio performance relative to benchmarks and investment objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio enhancement while maintaining risk discipline.
Market Communication
  • Prepare investment presentations, research publications, and client-facing materials.
  • Present investment views to internal investment committees and external clients.
  • Explain complex market developments in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and market commentary.
Collaboration
  • Partner with economists, credit analysts, quantitative researchers, traders, and risk management teams.
  • Support product development for fixed income investment solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory developments affecting fixed income markets.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • CFA designation or progress toward the CFA charter is highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience in fixed income research, investment strategy, portfolio management, or capital markets.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Interest rate markets
    • Credit markets
    • Fixed income securities and derivatives
    • Yield curve analysis
    • Duration and convexity
    • Portfolio risk management
    • Macroeconomic analysis
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, ICE Data Services, or similar market data platforms.
  • Familiarity with Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, or other analytical programming languages is preferred.
  • Experience with quantitative modeling and financial analytics tools.

  • Experience covering global fixed income markets.
  • Knowledge of ESG integration within fixed income investing.
  • Familiarity with multi-asset investment strategies.
  • Experience supporting institutional investors, asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, or wealth management organizations.
