Your internship begins with an MSCI Orientation which gives you a perfect foundation for the weeks ahead as you learn about our culture, values, and business model. Your learning continues ‘on-the-desk’ as you work through live projects and gain first-hand experience of how all teams at MSCI play a role in creating solutions for our clients. You will have a network of talented and approachable colleagues who will support you through every stage of the program

Your key responsibilities

The ESG & Climate Solution Research team is looking for a summer intern who is passionate about environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and climate change. The intern will work on various development projects that aim to provide innovative and data-driven solutions for investors, corporations, and policymakers. The intern will have the opportunity to learn from experienced researchers and analysts, as well as to contribute to the team's deliverables and publications.

· Conduct research and analysis on ESG and climate-related topics, such as carbon attribution.

· Support the development and testing of new ESG and climate models, indicators, or frameworks.

· Assist with the preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, and webinars for internal and external stakeholders.

· Collaborate with other teams and departments, such as data science, product development, and marketing.

Desired experience

· Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and Python.

· Demonstrated interest and knowledge of ESG and climate issues, trends, and best practices.

Desired qualifications

· Enrolled in a master's program in a relevant field, such as environmental studies, economics, finance, or statistics.
