Your Team Responsibilities

The Fixed Income and Multi Asset-class Factor research team focuses on building innovative analytics models to help clients manage their risk and make investment decisions. The team combines deep thinking, financial experience and world leading data to construct rigorous models tailored to solving our client's problems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Use MSCI's world class data to build innovative analytics models
  • Contribute to publishing research content that advances the MSCI research agenda and build research narrative that can provide insights to institutional clients.
  • Deliver research on topics ranging from asset allocation, portfolio construction, benchmarking, factors, private asset investing, and cashflow management.
  • Participate in client discussions and help provide investment insight

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • A degree in a technical or quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, applied economics, or finance (all levels considered, from bachelor's to doctorate).
  • At least 4 years of relevant work or graduate experience in quantitative investment research or as a data scientist / data engineer with strong financial background
  • Ability to think and communicate clearly about complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience with Python. Proficiency in SQL. Experience with AI and machine learning is a plus.
  • Enthusiam for investment modeling

Housing mostly Technology, Product Management, Research and Data Operations teams, it is just a quick 20-minute train ride to downtown San Francisco, where you’ll find great food and the University of California, Berkeley.
