Software Engineer (Python + Database + Cloud)

Your Team Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer (Python + Database + Cloud) at the Analyst level to join our Sustainability Application Development team. As part of a global team, the candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues across functions and contribute to impactful solutions in the S&C business.

• Deliver scalable applications and data solutions to support the S&C business.
• Contribute to CRC migration and modernization efforts on the OMDP platform.
• Collaborate across Product, QA, Data Operations, and Infrastructure teams to ensure successful end-to-end delivery.
• Ensure applications follow enterprise standards for quality, security, and performance.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for Operations platforms and S&C applications.
• Support performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of applications.
• Write clean, testable Python code using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Assist in building containerized solutions (e.g., Docker) and managing Python environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and testing cycles.
• Gain exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/GCP) and big data technologies such as Databricks, PySpark, and Airflow.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

• 2+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python programming.
• Exposure to RESTful APIs and frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
• Basic knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, CosmosDB, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest).
• Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices with tools like Git and JIRA.
• Curiosity to learn big data technologies and cloud-native solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
