DevOps Engineer

Your Team Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of ESG and Data DevSecOps team, based out of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore or Coimbatore location. This position involves close collaboration with MSCI’s Central Dev Ops and ESG and Data Application Development Team and the candidate shall act as a catalyst between them.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud applications and infrastructure.

Your Key Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP using services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and more.

Assist in containerizing workloads.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform.

Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and release management of cloud applications.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure application scalability, reliability, and performance on the cloud platform.

Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and availability of cloud services.

Enhance the security of applications and infrastructure by implementing security guidelines and best practices and integrating tools.

Continuously improve DevOps processes and practices, implementing industry best practices and leveraging cloud native tools and services.

Provide technical guidance and support to teams for efficient utilization of DevOps tools and services.

Must be intuitive to anticipate needs and be able to keep the big picture in mind while working through details.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer, with expertise in Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Azure Devops.

Hands on experience automating and orchestrating infrastructure with tools like Terraform.

Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python

Proficient with git and git workflows.

Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Bitbucket CI etc. to automate testing and deployment.

Experience working in an agile, fast paced, DevOps environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.

Comfortable working in a metrics driven environment.
