Your Team Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to support MSCI's commercial activities in Taiwan, with a focus on expanding the adoption of MSCI's investment solutions primarily via our Index and Analytics tools.

The Taiwan Coverage team sits within the Greater China Coverage organization and is responsible for strengthening client relationships and driving revenue growth across institutional clients.

Based in Taipei, this role plays a key part in engaging clients, executing sales initiatives, and identifying new business opportunities within the Taiwan market. You will be expected to work with both buy-side and sell-side clients, and be able to help clients with their risk and investment process, across areas such as passive/active ETF management, asset allocation and portfolio construction, factor investing, enterprise risk management and performance attribution. You will collaborate closely with senior coverage leaders and global functional partners — including Client Service, Client Consultants, Research, and Product Management — to deliver a seamless, solutions-oriented client experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deepen relationships with institutional clients, including asset owners, asset managers, insurance companies, hedge funds, broker/dealers, and other financial institutions including financial holding companies
  • Drive commercial activities for MSCI's Index and Analytics solutions, including new business development and renewals.
  • For Index solutions, to increase the adoption of MSCI indexes as benchmarks for asset allocation, managed accounts, and ETF launches. In addition, to be familiar with factor investing and risk/performance attribution which require the usage of MSCI benchmarks and data solutions
  • For Analytics solutions, to be familiar with quantitative investment decision support tools - from large-scale enterprise risk systems to specialized portfolio optimization software. This will include the usage of MSCI Barra factor models for quantitative investing, as well as the usage of MSCI RiskMetrics for market risk analytics such as VaR and stress-testing
  • Develop client proposals, deliver product demonstrations, and support competitive pitches in partnership with internal subject matter experts.
  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective follow-through on opportunities.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFA designation is an advantage.
  • 7–10 years of experience in financial services, ideally with direct exposure to index solutions, analytics/risk management tools, market data, or investment products
  • Direct sales experience with a proven track record in business development, or client relationship management, with strong sales closing skills. Ideally with experience from a financial institution or data/technology vendor
  • Strong understanding of index methodologies, investment processes, and the institutional client ecosystem.
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills, including factor models, risk/performance attribution, and risk management tools
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with superior time management and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and highly client-focused; enjoys intellectual and analytical challenges.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English required.
