Your Team Responsibilities

The Client Service Senior Associate plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional client experience for MSCI's Private Assets solutions. As a trusted advisor, you will partner with institutional investors to help them maximize the value of our investment analytics platform while building long-term client relationships.

Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, you will develop deep expertise in private markets, portfolio analytics, and institutional investment workflows. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine technical product knowledge, client relationship management, and strategic problem-solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About the ProductThis role supports Total Plan Manager, MSCI's leading investment analytics platform for institutional investors managing complex, multi-asset portfolios across private equity, private credit, hedge funds, public markets, real assets, and other alternative investments.

Your Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of institutional clients, delivering a premium service experience and ensuring timely resolution of client inquiries and complex product issues.
  • Develop deep expertise in MSCI's Private Assets and Total Portfolio solutions, understanding how our products integrate into clients' investment processes and decision-making workflows.
  • Build trusted partnerships with clients by proactively sharing product enhancements, industry insights, and best practices that help them maximize the value of MSCI's solutions.
  • Lead client training sessions, business reviews, and recurring stakeholder meetings, providing strategic guidance and introducing advanced product capabilities aligned with clients' evolving needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client workflows and internal service processes, driving operational efficiencies and enhancing the overall client experience.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Client Coverage teams to communicate client feedback, influence product enhancements, and advocate for client priorities.
  • Contribute to strategic account planning, service reviews, and client success initiatives that strengthen long-term relationships, increase product adoption, and support client retention.
  • Mentor and support junior team members by sharing best practices, providing coaching, and assisting with complex client escalations.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor's degree required. Degrees in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative disciplines are preferred but not required.
  • 5–6+ years of experience in a client-facing role within asset management, financial services, fintech, or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with portfolio analytics, performance measurement, risk analysis, private markets, or investment analytics is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations, proactively solve problems, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and client needs.
  • Progress toward or completion of a professional designation such as CFA, CAIA, CIPM, or FRM is considered a strong advantage
Nice to Have:
  • Experience supporting institutional investors, pension funds, endowments, foundations, or other asset owners.
  • Familiarity with multi-asset portfolios, alternative investments, or private capital markets.
  • Experience delivering product demonstrations, client training, or consultative support for financial technology platforms.
