Your Team Responsibilities

Position Overview

The MSCI Index Research & Product Development team is part of the MSCI Research and Product Development organization and is responsible for the ownership and evolution of all index methodologies that cover the Equity, Fixed Income and Real Assets classes. The group also is centrally focused on improving product quality through close collaboration with the Product, Client Coverage, and Technology and Data Services organizations. The team is currently based in Geneva, Mumbai, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Monterrey and Manila.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Intern of Index Research & Product Development (IRPD) in Monterrey, you will

1. support the real estate IRPD team on index quality, methodology and publications related topics.
2. work on operational improvement projects, research based charting tools/analysis on real estate property and property fund indexes.
3. collaborate on annual representativeness study on global market size estimations.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Specific Knowledge/Skills

• Excellent English Communication Skills is a must.
• Financial industry knowledge.
• Advanced Excel, Python, programming skills, data visualization techniques (Power BI)

Desired Experience

• Students in 6th - 9th semester of a bachelor’s degree with strong interest in Finance, with a GPA of 90 /100
• Studies abroad or previous work experience is strongly desired.

• A self-starter and highly motivated individual, with the ability to work individually and within a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight, short-term deadlines.
• Ability to work efficiently with diverse cultures on a global team.
• Understanding of international financial institutions and global financial markets.
