Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI's Talent Acquisition team is a strategic partner to the business, hiring across every function that powers better decisions — Technology, Research, Product Management, Client Coverage, and Corporate Functions. As a Vice President on the team, you will own a portfolio of searches end to end and act as a trusted advisor to senior hiring managers, shaping how they define, assess, and select talent. You will operate as a true 360 recruiter on a number of your requisitions — building the market map, engaging passive talent directly, and running the process through offer — with dedicated support from our Sourcing team on high-volume and hard-to-fill mandates. This role suits someone who is genuinely motivated by delivering a great recruiting experience for everyone involved: the hiring manager, the candidate, and their HR colleagues.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Own full-lifecycle recruitment for junior to senior level roles across multiple functions and business units, from intake through offer acceptance
  • Operate as a 360 recruiter on assigned searches — self-sourcing, direct outreach, and pipeline building — while partnering with the Sourcing team to scale reach and accelerate time to slate
  • Run structured intake sessions that align hiring managers on scorecards, target profiles, market realities, and interview design before a search opens
  • Build and maintain competitive talent maps and market intelligence for your coverage areas, and bring that insight proactively to business and HR leaders
  • Deliver a consistently positive candidate experience — clear communication, timely feedback, and a professional close, whether the outcome is an offer or a decline
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners and Compensation colleagues on offer construction, internal equity, leveling, and immigration considerations
  • Manage the offer process, including negotiation, closing strategy, and pre-boarding handoff
  • Maintain accurate, timely data in the ATS and report on pipeline health, funnel metrics, and search progress to stakeholders
  • Champion MSCI's employer brand through outreach, events, and content, and contribute to inclusive hiring practices across every search
  • Coach and mentor junior recruiters and sourcers, and contribute to continuous improvement of TA process, tooling, and AI-enabled workflows

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 6+ years of full-lifecycle recruitment experience, in-house or in a search firm, with a track record hiring across more than one function
  • Demonstrated success as a 360 recruiter — you are comfortable sourcing your own pipelines, not solely managing inbound flow
  • Experience recruiting in financial services, fintech, data, or technology environments
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior hiring managers, including at Managing Director and Executive Director level
  • Strong sourcing toolkit: Boolean and LinkedIn Recruiter proficiency, market mapping, and direct passive-candidate engagement
  • Genuine service orientation — you measure your own success partly by the experience you create for hiring managers, candidates, and HR partners
  • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and managing a concurrent portfolio of searches across time zones
  • Data fluency: you use funnel metrics and market data to set expectations and drive decisions
  • Experience with modern ATS and CRM platforms; interest in applying AI tools to recruiting workflows is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS or equivalent) from an accredited four-year college, or equivalent practical experience
