We are seeking to expand MSCI’s Climate and Sustainability sales team in Toronto with a commercially driven and results-oriented individual with finance/financial services sales experience—with direct experience working with banks and insurers. In this role you will maintain existing client relationships as well as drive new business development for MSCI’s climate-focused and sustainability-related solutions.
As the leading provider of Climate and Sustainability Research and Indexes, we continue to grow our footprint with the world’s largest banks, insurers, asset managers, pension funds, and corporations.
• Manage and deepen relationships with a diverse set of clients across the buy and sell side, with a focus on banks, insurers, and asset managers.
• Educate potential clients about climate-related investment, transition and physical risk, regulatory developments (including bank and insurance-specific frameworks), and broader sustainability trends.
• Promote MSCI solutions by articulating how our market-leading Climate and Sustainability Research, Analytics, and Indexes—support banks' and insurers’ climate risk management, reporting, and strategy development.
• Develop and execute a business plan to achieve revenue growth.
• Work with the wider sales group to achieve cross-segment opportunities and synergies from information sharing and collaboration
• Communicate suggestions to improve, customize, or create new products and solutions
• Experience in institutional sales with a track record of managing a pipeline against quantitative targets
• Demonstrated experience engaging with banks, insurers, and asset managers, particularly on topics related to climate risk, regulatory change, capital allocation, or sustainable finance
• Innovative, entrepreneurial, customer-oriented thinker with a strong consultative sales drive
• Strong emotional and professional maturity
• Commercial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• A solid understanding of climate finance, transition and physical risk concepts, and how climate and sustainability factors impact enterprise risk, credit risk, and the investment process is a strong plus
