Your Team Responsibilities

Join MSCI’s Private Assets Product team, where you will help deliver the next generation of AI-enabled solutions for General Partners in private markets. This product role is focused on executing and scaling GP-focused products across fundraising, investing, portfolio management, and valuation.

You will work closely with senior product leadership and cross-functional teams to translate client needs, market insights, and data capabilities into shipped products. Operating in an AI-first product environment, this role spans the full product lifecycle—from early discovery and validation through build, launch, and ongoing enhancement of live solutions.

This role is execution-oriented, collaborative, and designed to grow in scope over time, offering meaningful exposure to product strategy, client engagement, and go-to-market execution while maintaining a strong focus on delivery excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support ideation and discovery of GP-focused products by translating GP workflows, client needs, and market insights into product concepts and use cases.
  • Partner with Research and Data teams to assess data availability, quality, and coverage, and translate data and methodology constraints into product requirements.
  • Work with Design and Engineering to define requirements, workflows, acceptance criteria, and UX designs to support efficient development and delivery.
  • Support end-to-end product execution, including backlog prioritization, QA, user acceptance testing, and release coordination.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Technology, and Coverage to support prioritization and sequencing of GP product development initiatives.
  • Analyze product usage and performance data to identify adoption patterns, product gaps, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Support go-to-market execution through pricing analysis, sales enablement materials, client-facing documentation, and internal training.
  • Support select GP client engagements by providing product expertise, demos, and structured feedback into the product roadmap.
  • Leverage generative and agentic AI tools to accelerate product discovery, prototyping, and execution.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 2–6+ years of experience in a product, research, data, analytics, consulting, or client-facing role within financial services, private markets, or technology-enabled businesses.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred).
  • Experience contributing to product, research, analytical, or client solutions work that required translating complex problems into structured outputs.
  • Strong foundation in business and financial analysis, data analysis, process mapping, or methodology development, with the ability to translate insights into clear requirements or deliverables.
  • Experience working with complex datasets or analytical tools to inform decision-making, product design, or client solutions.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with technology, design, research, and commercial teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as ChatGPT, LLMs, and prototyping tools (e.g., Lovable); hands-on application is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in applying generative and agentic AI to improve workflows, discovery, or execution.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and execution-focused, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and intellectually curious, with a growth mindset and passion for innovation.
