Your Team Responsibilities

The VP of Website Management will lead and mentor a team of Web Authors responsible for all aspects of creating, editing, and publishing webpages. You will be directly responsible for distilling business objectives and publishing priorities to evaluate content requests and feature enhancements for our web platform to ensure the most valuable content and capabilities are prioritized for production. This role will maintain ownership of the content tagging framework that connects related content (the foundation for content personalization) and will also help manage the data-dependencies for content automation, as well as the analytics tagging framework that supports robust site metrics.

MSCI has begun a major transformation in migrating to the Adobe Experience Manager platform, and this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of MSCI.com globally. This position plays a critical role in driving growth for MSCI across all lines of business by supporting the website’s evolution from a passive function to a value-add marketing and sales engine for the organization.

The ideal candidate is an expert in web publishing, with information architecture expertise and direct experience maintaining website with large-scale content taxonomies and sitemaps. Detailed knowledge of content and asset management systems is required (CMS & DAM), preferably with a background in digital product marketing or user experience design. This role will also contribute to the evolution of MSCI’s AEM CMS by sharing ideas of new components to add to the design library, plus enhancements to the system that support advanced publishing.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Global Web Platform Management, who reports to the Managing Director and Global Head of Digital Marketing Experience, this individual will be joining an organization that is growing at an extraordinary pace driven by product innovation and client-centricity. He / she will partner with the Product Marketing, Content, Design, and Technology teams located across several regions.

Your main responsibilities: Managing Web Content Entry and Publishing, Digital Asset Management, Workflow Optimization, Content Request Prioritization, Team Leadership, Content Lifecycle Governance, Website Taxonomies and Tagging, Scaling Information Architecture, Stakeholder Management, Data Integration Pipelines, Quality Assurance and Version Control, CMS Feature Expansion.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Web Content Publishers, assign work effectively to meet content production demand and asset delivery requirements, set performance goals, conduct regular team performance reviews, and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Evaluate and prioritize content requests and feature enhancements for our web platform, work closely with stakeholders to ensure publishing dependencies are accounted for, and manage the end-to-end processes for all website-related publishing activities.
  • Develop and maintain the global website taxonomy to support extensive content categorization, ensuring consistency and scalability for a tagging framework that also supports dynamic content population for website recommendations/personalization.
  • Oversee the sitemap to ensure proper page hierarchy and navigation alignment amidst new content development and website expansion, provide guidance and governance for stakeholders to ensure new pages and page updates are aligned with site strategies, and support omnichannel marketing campaigns by constructing landing pages.
  • Master the AEM platform to scale web content effectively, enable easy access and seamless distribution of assets in the DAM (digital asset manager) through the upkeep of a well-organized digital asset library, and train Web Authors on best practices for achieving consistent user experiences through the utilization of a flexible design system.
  • Introduce enhancements to expand the capabilities, configuration, and connectivity of our Adobe Experience Manager platform by partnering with technology teams and vendors to integrate AEM with other systems and generative intelligence (AI) solutions.
  • Manage the development and launch of Adobe Target experiments to execute A/B and multivariate tests, and lead the configuration of audience definitions and composable content fragments to deliver personalized digital experiences.
  • Communicate AEM platform updates, enhancements, team velocity, and burndown metrics to marketing leadership. Monitor site health through customer satisfaction scores and on-site surveying, ensure optimal page performance in partnership with technology, and help support SEO and Accessibility improvements by collaborating with marketing optimization and content development teams.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 7+ years of experience in web publishing roles, and direct experience working with Content Management Systems utilizing a custom, composable design library
  • Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or equivalent content management systems and digital asset management platforms required
  • Experience in a financial services, institutional marketing, and/or a technology field, with a background in digital product marketing and/or user experience design a plus
  • Proven track record in managing web publishing, expertise with strategies for scalable information architecture, and experience successfully leading a team is also required
  • Strategic mindset, the ability to prioritize content initiatives to meet business objectives, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, plus exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Incredibly organized and able to maintain organization across a massive sitemap and digital asset library, with knowledge for how to advance a robust tagging system that can scale across multiple product-lines and content types, preferably with direct experience managing attribute-based personalization orchestration
  • Previous success working on web publishing during or following a large-scale site migration, and familiarity with SEO best practices and web accessibility standards
  • Detail-oriented and capable of advancing multiple initiatives simultaneously, with the ability to handle a significant workload through strong workflow management skills to be able to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to give concise, compelling verbal presentations to key decision-makers, and to respond quickly and thoughtfully to challenges and feedback/pushback in meetings
  • Global experience across North American, European, and Asian markets is desirable
