Your Team Responsibilities

The Index Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy and campaigns to support MSCI’s ambitious Index business growth objectives. The marketing organization at MSCI is a dynamic and fast-growing global function responsible for marketing and communicating our solutions and services to the world’s investors to help them build better portfolios.

As a leading provider of data and tools, we continue to grow our global footprint with institutional investors, asset/wealth managers, banks, hedge funds, pension funds, advisors, and corporations.

Your Key Responsibilities

This role will have a strategic focus on the wealth management and asset manager segments. In conjunction with the wealth segment marketing team, this role will work to expand MSCI’s presence and index product adoption among wealth platforms, broker-dealers, RIAs, and financial advisors working in conjunction with our Wealth Segment marketing team. In particular, the role will support initiatives around MSCI index-linked investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, model portfolios, and SMAs. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with key asset manager clients on co-marketing efforts, helping to amplify the visibility and differentiation of these offerings in the marketplace.

Additionally, the candidate will play a global coordination role the marketing strategy and go-to-market campaign activity for active and passive asset managers in conjunction with the broader index marketing team and our centers of excellence in marketing.

This is a highly collaborative and visible role, requiring close coordination with internal partners across product, sales, marketing, and research, as well as external partners across distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of index-based strategies and the broader financial advisor ecosystem.

  • Partner with the Global Head of Index Marketing to create and implement global marketing strategies that support growth across institutional and wealth channels.
  • In partnership with the Wealth Segment marketing team, drive targeted marketing campaigns focused on expanding usage of MSCI index-linked products in the wealth segment.
  • Collaborate with key asset manager partners to co-develop and execute integrated co-marketing initiatives that promote MSCI-linked products across digital, event, and content channels.
  • Coordinate GTM activity for our asset manager segment in conjunction with the broader index marketing team, and across other lines of business, to ensure close coordination of the client segment.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, product management, and research to align marketing content and campaigns with commercial goals and client needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics in the asset management and wealth space to inform strategic planning and go-to-market execution.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and analytics to evaluate campaign performance and continuously optimize marketing investments.
  • Leverage multi-channel campaigns—email, digital, webinars, events, thought leadership—to drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation across both institutional and wealth audiences.
  • Manage relationships with key external vendors, media partners, and industry associations, particularly those focused on the advisor and asset management communities.
  • Own and report on the efficacy of marketing initiatives, managing allocated budget effectively.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in related field
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing within the financial services industry, with a focus on asset management, particularly in the wealth space.
  • Good understanding of index (or passive) investing and how it impacts the investment process.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Confident self-starter with proven leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing marketing materials in the financial services sector.
