Your Team Responsibilities

Private markets are growing in importance across institutional and wealth portfolios. MSCI connects the private market ecosystem with solutions and standards that enable both asset owners and managers to invest with confidence.

The content marketing team translates that expertise into thought leadership that informs, inspires and differentiates MSCI in the market. As the premier independent provider of private market data, intelligence and analytics, MSCI is trusted to deliver objective, decision-grade insights. We provide integrated solutions that help investors benchmark performance, assess risk and manage portfolios across both public and private markets with greater confidence.

About the role:

We’re seeking a strategic content writer and editor with expertise in private markets and a passion for applying AI to modern marketing workflows. This role involves connecting and speaking thoughtfully about ideas across our private markets line-of-business, from innovations in data transparency and classifications to the implications of private credit’s first full rate cycle.

You’ll write across formats and channels—bringing insight, clarity, and authority to long- and short-form thought leadership while piloting AI-assisted tools that enhance speed, consistency, and engagement.

This role is ideal for a marketing professional who is curious about private markets and about how technology can enhance storytelling and speed-to-market. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing peers, product experts and digital teams to push our strategy forward.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit high-quality thought leadership on private markets, including quarterly benchmark summaries, investor insights and commentary on key market developments across private equity, venture, private credit, private real estate and infrastructure.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools (e.g., MSCI’s custom GPTs and content frameworks) to streamline first drafts, personalize messaging by audience segment and adapt tone for multiple channels.
  • Collaborate across functions to develop the annual content strategy for MSCI’s private assets line of business.
  • Partner with designers, UX professionals and video teams to bring ideas to life across web, social and campaign formats.
  • Support creative executions, like charts of the week, subject-matter-expert video interviews, blog posts and more.
  • Operate as a thought partner to product marketing and research leads, contributing to messaging, positioning and campaign strategies that reflect client needs across private equity, credit, real estate and infrastructure.
  • Champion editorial quality and integrity, ensuring all AI-assisted content meets MSCI’s standards for accuracy, tone and compliance.

Collaborate globally, adapting and localizing private assets content for audiences in key markets to support integrated campaigns across digital, social, email and event channels.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Deep expertise and curiosity in the private investment industry. You can translate complex financial topics into engaging narratives that connect with both institutional and wealth audiences.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in financial services and/or content marketing.
  • Strong content strategy and storytelling skills, able to turn data and insights into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Ability to synthesize data into compelling visuals and punchy, accessible copy.
  • Confidence using generative AI tools for research, editing, ideation and draft generation.
  • Ability to capture and evolve MSCI’s brand voice, balancing authority with accessibility.
  • Autonomous, proactive and collaborative. This role requires a self-starter who thrives on seeing projects come to life from concept to execution.
  • Fluency in the metrics and terminology common to private markets.
