Your Team Responsibilities

We are looking to hire a Senior Financial Controller in the Legal Entity Controlling Team. The Team is responsible for local and group accounting and reporting for our entities in the EMEA region. The role is a highly visible regional role primarily responsible for the accounting activities including participation in month end close processes, in monthly analytics preparation and in the process of financial statement/tax return preparation and review.

Your Key Responsibilities

Financial accounting for operating entities in the EMEA region

Performing detailed month end close procedures, recording of month end accounting journals, including accruals and other accounting adjustments

Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis

Finance approval of vendor invoices

Responsibility for the preparation of local financial statements under local GAAP for EMEA legal entities of the Group, specifically: cooperation with external accountants, review of the financial statements, cooperation with external tax advisors, assistance in external filings

Review of tax declarations, payment of tax advances in cooperation with local tax advisors

Assistance with external and internal audit enquiries

Participation in upcoming ad-hoc projects: software implementation, utilization of AI, innovation, automation, etc.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

College or university degree in finance / accounting

Chartered Accountant or local equivalent accounting qualification

5-6 years of professional experience in an accounting position. Experience of working within an international organization or in audit / accounting firm is an advantage.

Strong accounting knowledge

High attention to details and good analytical skills

Good language skills: fluency in written and spoken English is required;

Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Office

High level of motivation, commitment to work hard and a desire to make an impact with all internal and external clients

Team player and desire to work effectively with diverse cultures in a global organization
