Your Team Responsibilities

The Data Analyst Intern will join the Sustainability & Climate (S&C) Business Unit, supporting analytical, documentation, and project-based initiatives related to sustainability and climate data, processes, and reporting. This role is non-production in nature and focuses on delivering analytical support, process insights, testing, and documentation that enable the team to scale, improve data quality, and support ongoing technology and AI-enabled initiatives.

The intern will work under the direction of experienced analysts and partners across Product and Technology, contributing analysis, reporting, and structured outputs using historical, sample, or test data in controlled environments.

Your Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Assist with exploratory analysis of sustainability and climate-related datasets using historical, sample, or test data
  • Support preparation of internal reports, dashboards, and summary insights for team review
  • Perform basic data validation and quality checks to identify trends, inconsistencies, or anomalies
  • Document data definitions, assumptions, and analytical methodologies

Process & Workflow Analysis (Non-Production)

  • Observe and document end-to-end data and analytical workflows within the S&C business unit
  • Analyze historical trends, volumes, and turnaround times to identify patterns and improvement opportunities
  • Support gap analysis exercises comparing expected versus observed outputs using non-production data
  • Contribute to process documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Project & Technology Support (Non-Production)

  • Support analysis, testing, and documentation for selected data, reporting, and analytics enhancements
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), results validation, and issue documentation for internal tools and reports
  • Review and validate AI-generated or automated analytical outputs in controlled environments, documenting observations
  • Contribute to data quality and control assessments through testing support and issue tracking

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

  • Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and working sessions
  • Collaborate with analysts and internal stakeholders to support data, reporting, and process initiatives

Communicate findings and updates clearly through written summaries and documentation

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Availability for 40 hrs per week
  • Availability to stay for 7 months
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following or a related field:
    • Sustainability, Environmental Science, Climate Studies
    • Economics, Finance, Business Analytics
    • Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems
  • Currently studying 5-8 semester
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Basic understanding of data analysis, reporting, or analytics concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Interest in sustainability, climate, or ESG-related datasets
  • Exposure to analytics, automation, or AI concepts through coursework or projects
