MSCI, Inc.seeks Senior Associate, Technical Sales Specialist in New York, NY to drive sales by providing practitioner level risk management expertise during the presales process.
Conduct demos and presentation analysis to clients in MSCI’s analytics platforms utilizing RiskManager, BarraOne and Barra Portfolio Manager. Help bring revenue opportunities to conclusion through ownership of the technical aspects of the sales cycle including assisting prospects and clients with POCs (Proof of Concept) model validation exercises, trials, and other pre-sales exercises that require significant effort and execution. Utilize MSCI’s pricing models to import prospective clients’ positions into MSCI’s analytics platforms, running analyses of interest like Multi-Asset Class factor risk decomposition and performance attribution, single security analytics comparison between MSCI’s output and current output for clients, as well as providing training during trials. Collaborate closely with other groups within MSCI including research, applied research, and product development to ensure necessary resources are leveraged during the process by understanding of MSCI’s models and products along with the client’s use-case to ensure the right people is always present during client meetings and be able to position MSCI’s products. Proactively solicit feedback regarding new analytics and product features and sharing internally. Test the latest launches and releases driven by research across MSCI’s platforms, as MSCI models and analytics are continuously evolving and providing clients with the solutions that best fit their needs. Take expertise on fixed income use case and focusing on growing businesses in that area. Leverage MSCI’s various fixed income instruments related pricing models as well as the MSCI Multi-Asset Class Factor Model to provide clients with adequate investment and risk management solutions. Focus on equity and MAC (Multi-Asset Class) factor analytics by leveraging MSCI factor models within BarraOne and Barra Portfolio Manager to provide clients with adequate investment and risk management solutions.
SALARY & WORK SCHEDULE: $131,000 to $131,000/year, 40 hrs/wk
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in any field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: analyzing multi asset class portfolios for client demonstrations; working with various quantitative use cases; working with fixed income use cases including single security analytics, and risk modeling; working with Asset-Liability Management (ALM) use cases by measuring risk and sensitivity mismatch between multi asset class portfolios of assets and liabilities; working with modeling and application of stress tests to model impact of hypothetical and historical scenarios on multi asset class portfolios. 15% travel required nationally and internationally. Employer will accept 2 years of related work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
