Index Variable Revenue Team is responsible for collecting client data, calculating variable license fees for ETF, non-ETF, listed futures and options, and derivatives product licenses, managing internal and external stakeholder requests, perform month-end closing activities in line with SOX and US GAAP.
• Communicate and coordinate with upstream business units to investigate any issues that impact fee calculation and revenue accounting
• Manage the review process of contracts and sales agreements and reconcile contract terms with records in SalesForce
• Configuring new deals in the calculators, correctly interpreting contract terms
• Collating data from clients and/or websites and loading into the calculators for calculation of fees
• Manage client specific complex fee models
• Keep accurate records of sensitive client portfolio data for fee calculation and internal reporting purposes
• Setting up the sales order sequences and managing the billing flow
• Liaise with clients in regards with billing and contract related matters
• Documentation, maintenance and adherence to key SOX controls to maintain the integrity of Variable Fee based products related processes
• Calculation of Accounting Revenue and Run Rate Revenue Estimates and investigation and explanation of significant variances
• Manage the month-end closing activities including accrual calculation, MoM, QoQ and YoY control variance analysis as well as assisting FP&A in their functions
• Ongoing development of business processes related to Variable Fee calculations, revenue accruals and reporting
• Participate in ERP system migration projects and other ad hoc projects as required
• Define and document new development requirements. Testing and rollout of new enhancements to production environment
• College or university degree in finance and/or accounting
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
• Solid knowledge of Excel (Formulas, Pivot tables and reconciliation of multiple data sources)
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Detail oriented, organized and analytical thinking
• Ability to follow procedures in a logical and organized manner
• Team player and desire to work effectively with diverse cultures in a global organization
• Strong work ethic and pro-active with ability to multitasking
