The Senior Associate, Procurement Buyer will join a high-performing team of Professional Services Buyers responsible for sourcing a broad range of third-party services, from temporary staffing solutions to complex consulting, advisory, and technical implementation engagements. Buyers partner closely with assigned stakeholder groups to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services that support business objectives.

In this role, buyers are expected to build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders by developing a deep understanding of their business needs and advising on optimal sourcing strategies. The Senior Associate owns the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, leading sourcing initiatives from intake through contract execution and supplier onboarding, while ensuring alignment with MSCI’s policies, controls, and governance standards.

The role also involves coordinating cross-functional activities critical to successful supplier engagement, including data privacy, information security, service impact, and other risk assessments. In addition, the Senior Associate partners with Finance, Legal, IT, and other internal teams to support accurate financial accruals, facilitate third-party onboarding, and coordinate physical and system access for external resources.

This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful, firmwide initiatives while contributing to the continued growth and maturity of MSCI’s global strategic sourcing function.

For high-volume temporary labor engagements, you will support demand fulfillment by managing supplier selection, rate competitiveness, onboarding readiness, and compliance requirements.

You will ensure adherence to procurement policies, governance standards, and required risk assessments that govern the engagement of professional services and contingent labor. You will also incorporate sustainability considerations into supplier selection and ongoing supplier management where applicable.

You will Support the transition to a Vendor Management System (VMS) for contingent labor by adapting sourcing and operational processes as the tool is implemented in 2026.

In addition to sourcing activities, you will perform recurring operational responsibilities that enable consistent execution.
