Your Team Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced sales and business development lead to drive our commercial activities in Taiwan. The Taiwan Coverage team is part of the Greater China Coverage team responsible for maintaining existing client relationships as well as new business development for MSCI products and services

The role will include leading and developing a small team based in Taipei, client relationship management at all levels, and delivering on sales targets across the full suite of MSCI products and services – including Index, Analytics, ESG/Climate, and Private Assets

Your Key Responsibilities

  • As Lead for the business, he/she will be instrumental in driving go-to-market strategies and campaigns, revenue growth across new business and renewal targets as well as representing MSCI at all levels of business in Taiwan.
  • Work closely with the Head of Greater China Client Coverage, key internal partners and product management to deliver a cohesive, solutions driven strategy for clients
  • Strategic planning to drive the business growth, and manage the sales pipeline process to achieve sales target revenue and retention goals. The role will be a player-coach role with aggressive individual sales targets
  • Manage and lead the local coverage team to cross-sell products to drive revenues across new and existing clients and increase overall client satisfaction.
  • Partner with Senior Account Managers / Country Managers in APAC on strategic global accounts.
  • The team is expected to work very closely with global sales, global client service, marketing, research and product management as a business lead for client engagements

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience; MBA, Master’s Degree and/or CFA charter holder strongly desired
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial service industry and strong network in Taiwan
  • Superior communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple detail-oriented projects
  • Strong sales closing skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent balance of strategy and process / execution
  • Ability to communicate effectively across the organization globally with colleagues across different functions
  • Strong sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Strong understanding of the global investment process and investment flows
