Career Days at MSCI

At MSCI, career paths are multi-directional. Whether moving between teams, to a new role, or getting involved in projects with other teams, we actively encourage and support internal mobility. Listening to employee feedback, one of our goals for this year was to improve the visibility of career mobility opportunities.

As part of this initiative, in 2023 we held a number of Career Days across our offices, aiming to provide our colleagues with clarity around the career mobility process. These events, hosted in our offices in Mumbai, New York, Budapest, Frankfurt and Monterrey, Mexico City and Sao Paolo, included a variety of session to help employees identify and prepare for the next step in their career. By the end of November, more than five hundred employees participated in one of the Career Days, gaining a better understanding of opportunities and requirements for lateral career development at MSCI.

From events to help our colleagues connect with fellow employees and leaders in other functions to expand their networks, to workshops on what key skills are needed in MSCI’s various functions and how to develop them, the Career Days had it all. The sessions covered the full range of employee experience: they included roundtable discussions with colleagues who started their journey at MSCI as interns, as well as fireside chats with members of our senior leadership, who shared their advice for a long and successfull career at MSCI. Members of our HR team joined all of the Career Days to answer any questions around the career mobility process and to help connect colleagues with managers of the teams they are interested in.
