Position Overview We are expanding our team in Mumbai and are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Process Quality Platform (PQP) team. PQP is the team in charge of innovation and transformation of MSCI Data Content and Services (DCS) covering all business lines. PQP identifies business cases and develops the execution strategy with DCS operating units who are in charge of the execution of the projects. As such PQP is involved during the full life cycle of projects and by its transversal nature the PQP team is covering the full spectrum of DCS activities: data procurement, infrastructure and platform design, quality analysis, usability and scalability. PQP team members are seen as internal process expert in charge of developing and scaling MSCI production factory in lean manner. The position provides an exposure to growing range of asset classes and data categories including among others market data, fundamental data, forecasted data, corporate actions, ESG factors etc. Scope of Responsibility Understand the existing business process and data workflow by interacting with process owners as well as IT Propose end state solution which will help unlock vendor savings, improve quality controls, provide KPI metrics for management and increase scalability in consultation with process owners Interact with senior management in the organization to present the proposal Coordinate with process owners and project management team to drive implementation Operate in a multinational and multicultural environment Specific Knowledge/Skills Good understanding of financial markets and Index business, working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience in process change management Desired Experience and Qualifications 5-6 years of relevant experience Bachelor of Engineering and Masters in Finance (MBA/CA/CFA) Master degree in Finance from premier institute (including equivalents CFA, CA, FRM) or engineering degree with a solid experience in finance. Excellent communication skills (both written and presentation) Experience in working with global vendors will be a plus (Reuters, Interactive Data, Factset etc.) Good understanding of Software development life cycle and exposure to deploying business process change.
