Position overview: Legal Entity Controller team in India is responsible for all internal accounting, corporate tax compliance, cash management and reporting functions of multiple MSCI Business Units and is also part of various global processes. The person will be hired as Associate and will report into India LEC. Responsibilities: Assist Legal Entity Controller on day to day finance operations; Month end financial accounting and control procedures - including month end journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts; Dealing with banks for various routine banking transactions, making deposits, foreign payments, RBI certifications etc Managing statutory audits, tax audits Managing audits by Service Tax/ GST departments Engaging with accounting consultants in relation to accounting services provided by them (tax payments, PF/ PT payments) Managing TDS and other monthly tax compliances for Service tax/ GST, Income tax including filing of returns Engaging with tax advisors for handling other tax compliances and litigations under Service tax/ GST, Income Tax Handling STPI compliances- filing of monthly, quarterly and annual reports Engaging with legal on preparation for local statutory reporting requirements Dealing with Accounts Payable team on invoicing and payment related matters Monitoring of travel and entertainment reimbursements Desired experience and qualifications: 5-6 years of corporate experience in handling similar role Experience in working multi-national organizations or audit/ accounting firms will be an advantage University degree in finance/ accounting Intermediate Chartered Accountant with or seasoned Graduate preferably having completed CA articleship Strong accounting knowledge Strong knowledge and experience of handling tax related compliances (Direct as well as Indirect) Experience of working on SAP will be an advantage; Effective interpersonal and communication skills Fluency in written and spoken English is must Well organized, thorough and detailed, with a creative approach to problem solving Ability to follow instructions and procedures, follow through on issues and prioritize effectively Highly motivated, able to work independently and with initiative Team player and ability work with diverse cultures in global organization Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines Advanced PC skills (advanced level in Microsoft Excel/Microsoft Access required) Due to the great number of applications we receive for each of our open vacancies, we are unable to respond on an individual basis.
