Position overview: The Portfolio Management Analytics QA team is responsible for developing and implementing the validation processes and procedures for industry adopted financial instruments, statistics and reporting. Our goal is to ensure the 'highest level quality' and the 'fastest time to market' in the industry for financial products. This is an exciting role that lies on the cusp of finance and technology. As a key member of this team, the candidate will have direct responsibilities for ensuring that MSCI market-leading analytics continue to provide clients exceptional analytics quality and sophistication. The members of the Portfolio Management Analytics QA team work on complex issues, where analysis is required to determine the root source of problems and associated factors. The candidate must be detail-oriented and capable to perform multi-task assignments in a timely and independent fashion. Responsibilities: The Service Delivery team in Mumbai performs the role of data collation, data quality checks, real estate performance analysis and report generation for UK, European and increasingly AsiaPac clients. Mumbai operations span across all products of MSCI Real Estate and include Performance Analysis Services, Property Fund Indices, Direct Property Indexes, Market information and bespoke analysis. Service Delivery Manager manages the day-to-day operations, strategic planning, budgetary planning, and overall resource prioritization and direction for a section of the Service Delivery teams. This involves managing both internal and external stakeholders in service delivery, coverage, client service and research teams. The objective is to maintain a high level of value added service and to partner with the Business Units to address key client issues and manage risk. Also, the Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for implementing operations best practices, maintaining operations metrics and implementing process improvement ideas. The role will require adjusting and expanding team capacity to absorb the new products being launched at a global/ regional level and involves partnering with IT teams engaged in the continuous renovation of the data management & product generation technology platforms. The nature of this role will be complex, challenging, diverse and rewarding The role would involve working in the Central European timings. Desired experience and qualifications: Overall 10 to 12 years work experience, including at least 5 to 6 years experience of independently managing medium to large teams. Proven ability to setup teams from scratch and managing knowledge transfer/ process migration Prior exposure to Indices and/ or Investment analytics products is desirable Experience in handling client interactions and managing relations with clients Experience in driving process improvement projects with keen focus on data security and efficiency Organizational and project management skills Strong risk awareness and orientation Ability and willingness to �get hands dirty� in the ground level processes Highly skilled in MS office applications Prior understanding of Real Estate data such as Property Valuation, Tenancy details, corporate actions etc. and exposure to professional real estate management would be preferred.
