Position Overview:

Building upon MSCI product, real estate and client specific expertise, MSCI Client Consultants manage and develop relationships with their portfolio of clients and client peer groups across regions. MSCI is looking for someone to lead this team with consultants based across the region.  The candidate is required to establish best practices within the team and ensure that the consultant team is operating as a high performance team. The successful candidate will ensure the consultant team is

1. Proactively managing the relationships with clients by building deep relationships with key users and senior members of our client management teams. Consultants are responsible for being clients' trusted advisor, helping them to get the most of the data and services we provide to them as well as proving market and segment specific insights that the data alone cannot provide.

2. Contributing to the development and execution of strategic business and global initiatives

3. Developing clear client retention strategies and client plans across all key relationships and segments

4. Supporting sales efforts

Scope of Responsibility /Expectation:

1. Managing the consultant teams to ensure we have adequate and skilled resources to support our clients. This should include

a. Putting in place clear development plans for the team so they are able to be trusted advisers for their clients

b. Where necessary make good hiring decisions

c. Ensure adequate segment, client and relationship plans are in place

d. Stay aware of the latest industry trends, client needs, and MSCI real estate product development roadmap

e. Be up to date with Product Management training & give clients feedback to the Product Management team

2. Build and maintain strong senior relationships with our clients and other industry participants such as industry groups

3. Maintain good internal relationships with internal stakeholders such as the senior management of Sales, Product, DCS.

4. Stay aware of the latest industry trends, client needs, and MSCI real estate product development roadmap

5. Manage the existing client franchise including

a) Manage clear vulnerable account process including regular stakeholder meetings, follow up and cancellation forecasts

b) Project manage client relationships with specific clients and industry groups

c) Create client business plans, identify opportunities and forecast cancellations

d) Demonstrate success against those business plans

e) Broaden and deepen clients' usage of MSCI services and the range of client and prospect relationships

f) Conduct presentations on MSCI real estate results and client training

6. Contributing to the development and execution of strategic business and global initiatives

· Own projects directed at improving clients' experience and realising efficiency gains

· Actively support campaigns and collaborate with other departments

· Ensure that the team Maintains accurate Salesforce management system records for your client (opportunities, cases, calls, visits, conversations, emails)

· Actively contribute to the cross regional initiatives such as MSCI real estate Global Account Management

7. Contributing to sales

· Maximising renewal rates and generating leads

· Monitor and communicate clients existing level of take up, identifying gaps

· Ensure team complies with MSCI real estate renewal & upsell procedures

· Provide support during sales meetings

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

Desired Experience:

· 7-10 years of experience working for an Asset Owner, Asset Manager  or real estate consultant in research/strategy, portfolio management, acquisitions, asset management or investor relations

· Understanding of the global real estate investment industry, financial markets and investment processes

· 7-10 years management experience

· Relationship management experience

· Strong analytical, communication, presentation, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills

· BA, MA in real estate, finance, economics

· Language skills a plus

Specific experience in the following areas:

· Investment Committee experience pitching investment opportunities, investment strategies, portfolio reviews, asset budgets

· Developing and presenting investment strategies, externally to investors, potential investors, or consultants

· Participating on panels/presenting in industry events

· Postgraduate degree (PhD, MBA or MSc) or Professional qualification (CFA, FRM) preferred
