Building upon their real estate and client specific expertise, MSCI Real Estate Client Consultants manage and develop relationships with their portfolio of clients to ensure they receive valuable, tailored services from Real Estate which support all parts of their organization. Maximizing the value the clients receive from Real Estate and their take up of relevant services, whilst minimizing cancellations.

The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the real estate investment market. The position involves sharing best practices and through presenting our analysis helping clients to interpret and make best use of our measurement services.

MSCI Real Estate Client Consultants work closely with Real Estate Sales and Client Service teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Being the clients trusted advisor
  • Contributing to strategic business and global initiatives
  • Contributing to sales

This role is based in Hong Kong and reports to Real Estate Sales – Executive Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Being the clients Trusted advisor
    • Project manage client relationships with specific clients and industry groups
    • Complete business plans for each client / group in accordance with guidance
    • Demonstrate success against those business plans
    • Broaden and deepen the range of client and prospect relationships
    • Conduct presentations on real estate results and client training
    • Stay aware of the latest industry trends, client needs, and MSCI’s real estate product roadmap
    • Be up to date with & raise clients’ awareness on the roadmap and provide feedback to the global Product Management department.
    • Share best practices with the client community, e.g. workshops/seminars
    • Broaden and deepen clients use of MSCI’s real estate services, to be measured by the
    • Number of product users and their frequency of access
    • Records of client contact, demonstrating support for their business goals
    • Clients participation in MSCI’s webinars and events
  1. Contributing to strategic business and global initiatives
    • Engage with the Client Service team to benefit from and contribute to best practice sharing within MSCI real estate
    • Attend Client Service training and comply with the guidance provided
    • Contribute to Client Service training documents and knowledge base (as a subject matter expert)
    • Own projects directed at improving client experience and realising efficiency gains
    • Provide other ad hoc support to Client Service as required
    • Actively support Campaigns and collaborate with other departments
    • Proactively contribute to Real Estate campaigns (recorded in salesforce)
    • Communicate efficiently
    • Maintain accurate Salesforce records for your client (opportunities, cases, calls, visits, conversations, emails, billing)
    • Active contribution to the cross regional initiatives such as Global Account Management or ‘upsell & renewal’ plans
  1. Contributing to sales
    • Maximizing renewal rates and generating leads
    • Monitor and communicate clients existing level of take up, identifying gaps
    • Provide product related support during sales meetings

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree ideally from finance/real estate background
  • No less than 7 years in the real estate industry - preferably on the investment side or asset management. 
  • Thorough understanding of the real estate investment industry, financial markets and investment processes
  • Experience dealing with asset owners and other client types (e.g. Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Broker / Dealers, and Consultants)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills
  • Professional qualifications in the form of CFA a plus Relationship management experience with a proven record of accomplishment in real estate or financial services
  • Fluency in English is a must, any second Asian language (Mandarin, Cantonese) is highly appreciated
